- I am Reverend Parris I am the town's Preacher and Leader. I am motivated by keeping my reputation in the town clean, and as a consequence of my social status and reputation am not accused of witchcraft only of being corrupt. I expect respect and order for I am the towns leader.

- Aye, I am John Procter the town farmer although despite my humble profession my name in the town is not clean, for I have cheated on my wife with Abigail. As a consequence of my dishonest behavior my wife and Abigail are both in the center of the witchcraft drama going on in town. Although I am not entirely honest and neither is Abigail, I am motivated to keep my Wife innocent in the Witch Trials.
- I am Abigail Williams I am one of the girls present in the woods during that strange night. I took charge of all the other girls by using fear and threatening them, and have convicted Tituba and Mrs. Procter of witchcraft to save myself when I came close to being convicted myself.
