- TIME SAFARI, INC.SAFARIS TO ANY YEAR IN THE PAST.YOU NAME THE ANIMAL.WE TAKE YOU THERE.YOU SHOOT IT.
- Start of the story, Eckels goes to Time Safari with a check of 10,000 dollars. The sign on the wall seemed to be moving. Eckels stands there confused. He then opens the door and enters the Time Safari building.
- Eckels enquires whether he gets a document that will assure that he comes back alive. He is then introduced to Travis and is given instructions - what to do and what not to, during the trip to the past. Eckels is in shock when he sees the time machine in front of him. He also has a conversation with the man behind the desk about the American elections which were held a day ago.
- They have reached the past, roughly 60 million years ago before President Keith, they are all ready in their positions to shoot the T-Rex. Travis is unhappy and angry when Eckels gets impatient at first, he also asks Travis many questions about "The Path" and why he should stay on it.
- At first, Eckels points his gun towards a creature for fun, which Travis doesn't seem to like and screams at him. Lespearance warns everyone that the T-Rex is about to appear in about 60 seconds.

- Out of the mist, came the mighty dinosaur. Eckels was shocked and scared as he had never thought of the creature to be this big. He was instructed by the guides to go back by following the path and back into the machine, however he failed to do so.
- Eckels wandered off the path, as the monster charged them. They shot down the T-Rex and it fell crashing down, blood was splashed everywhere. They now turned to Eckels who had gone the wrong way and went off the path.

- Eckels is forced to go and pick up the lying bullets as a result of his behavior and actions. Travis brings out a special cloth from a metal box and gave it out to Eckels to clean up. He faints after doing so, all of them get back into the Time Machine, change their dirty clothes and setback into present day.
- When they reach the Time Safari, Travis has noticed that something has changed, he looked over a high window and realized a change. The sign outside had changed.
- They see the small butterfly on Eckels' shoes, he is absolutely shocked and confused how a small butterfly could make such a big difference in mankind. Killing a butterfly had changed the world, the smallest of things had made a big and significant change.
- They get back inside and ask the man behind the desk, who is the president at the moment, and he seems happy while saying Deutscher and not the weak Keith. Eckels is shocked and Travis brings out his rifle, click the safety catch and raise the weapon. THERE WAS A SOUND OF THUNDER
