  • Because of Arabia's convenient location in the middle of Afro-Eurasia, they could get what they wanted fast and easily. Eventually, Arabia started partaking in trade with other Afro-Eurasian empires and kingdoms. Not soon later 2 major trade routes sprouted along ancient Arabian territories, one located on land and the other on the water. The Monsoon Winds powered the ships that crossed from east to west in the winter, and west to east in the summer. Arabian ships usually embarked in spring, heading east.
  • The overland trade route used camel caravans. The goods on these caravans came from Egypt, the Mediterranean, and Arabia. The goods were then loaded onto ships that traveled to Africa or India. Goods originating from Asian empires were unloaded into the Arabian cities of Aden and Cane. Then the goods were taken to the rest of the cities in eastern Arabia and the Middle East.
  • Products such as Frankincense and Myrrh were high-valued incense and perfumes. Around the city of Sa'ba trees grew in the mountains. The sap from these trees was used in these perfumes and incense which gained great wealth for the area.
