- Did the trees just... move?
- Aria and Rocco arrive at Camp Eagle Eye (CEE). They don't particularly like each other, but Aria's father thinks they do so he gave Rocco a ride. They go to the opening campfire. As the speaker is talking, the flames shoot into the sky a mile high. Everybody's eyes glow and then everyone continues as if nothing strange happened. Only Aria and Rocco remember the strange flames.
- Climax
- Aria and Rocco separate from their cabin group on a hike the next day to investigate a squirrel that was acting strangely. The squirrel leads them to a large group of birds, squirrels, and rabbits that have extra eyes on their foreheads. The animals try to attack Aria and Rocco so the two have to make a run for it.
- Falling Action
- They escape to a clearing in the forest. They find a ring of trees that fold down and grow their branches to create a circus-tent-looking structure, blocking the two from getting to the center of the tree ring.
- Resolution
- The pair fight their way through the branches that constantly try to snag their limbs and trip them. Once they reach the middle, they find a glowing being that seems distressed.
- They find out that the being's name is Gargon. Rocco tries to talk to Gargon at first, but Gargon’s defiant screech-crying makes it clear that she isn’t in the mood for reasoning.Gargon corners Rocco. Aria jumps on Gargon from behind and plunges a sharpened stick into Gargon’s back. Gargon wilts. All that is left of it is a rotten log. That’s slowly crushing Rocco’s chest.
- Aria quickly rolls the log off of Rocco and helps him up. The two head back to their cabins, dazed and tired from their eventful day. Everything seems to be back to normal and nobody remembers the strange happenings except the pair. Aria thinks she saw something (a smaller version of Gargon?) move out of the corner of her eye but shrugs it off.
