  • State representatives based on population. Strong national government with three branches: Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. Legislature divided into two bodies, senate and house of representatives, of proportional representation. Checks and balances
  • The Great Compromise

  • count all!
  • Count none!
  • If there should be one at all, or what the position should be. Some didn't want one at all, PTSD from a King, but they needed some structure (Shay's Rebellion). The compromise was a president that gets elected by the people, and representatives from each state.
  • There will be a president, the people will vote, and there will be representatives to make the final decision, there will be other branches of government to make sure they don't abuse their power
  • We need a leader, look what happened with Shay's Rebellion
