- Alexander Graham Bell wanted kids to learn in speech training rather than ASL so they discouraged schools to teach ASL and soon banned it and punished hem by tying their hands behind their backs. And forced ASL to live in the shadows.
- ASL soon came back with researches and some sort of understanding that ASL isn´t bad at all and people can benefit from it.
