The Albany Congress was in June of 1745, Representatives from 7 colonies met with 150 Iroquois chiefs in Albany to discuss ways to stop the French from invading. During this meeting Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Hutchinson created the Albany Plan of Union which helped coordinate the troops.

The French had an early lead on the British, then the British rallied and began to take a big lead on the French. They won their first big battle in Louisbourg, and then they proceeded to take over Fort Frontenac. In November of 1758 John Forbes captured Fort Duquesne after the French left it, this was a huge turning point for the British.

The battle of Quebec was a hard fought battle between the French and the British. The British ended up winning and the French was expelled from Canada. The war ended in February 1763, the Treaty of Paris sealed the deal. The Treaty of Paris made French loose Canada and they gave Louisiana to Spain, Britain gained Spanish Florida, upper Canada and French holdings overseas. This also made the 13 colonies stronger because it eliminated all their European rivals.
