- The monster is not only rejected by Frankenstein he is rejected by everyone and gets bitter and strikes for revenge he also goes into hiding and learns a little about the world

- The monster's nature is a direct result of the isolation, rejection and fear he faced early on leaving him alone cause his spite
- The monster's life could have been much different if he received love and nurturing instead of abandonment. The monster pays his last respects and tells Walton he plans to set himself on fire and Walton learns the lesson some scientific advancements are not worth the cost
