This is a short dramatized story of a young girl running late to school and threw on some cloths little thinks that she would be find because the schools dress code isn't that strict, later though out of four kids out of dress code she is the only one punished however she was the only female of the group , this is just one small example of gender inequality
Storyboard Text
Oh shoot Im going to be late for school.
Dude we are so cool all of us broke dress code,Lets see if we can get caught
Why Mr Evans? Im in uniform these guys next to me are the ones breaking the rules
Good moring class it is all nice to see you however you all the schools dress code and all of you have broken James, Max, and John this is your last warning but Jess you have to go to the office .
Im going, I'm going but ughhh this is so unfair
Jess your shorts are too short and are going to distract the class now go to the office before I have to call the dean to take you!
Jess is running late to school and runs by a group of boys who planned to break dresscode ( not hats or sweatshirts).
After reviewing what Mr, Evans sent you here for I will have to send you home for the evening but if this happens again we will have to talk about getting suspended or possibly expelled
This is so unfair, why do I have to come to the principals office when three other guys just got a warning
Mr. Evans catches all the students breaking dresscode however only decides to send Jess to the officeJess was surprised because even though she rushed to get ready she still thought the shorts would be fine.
Whatever principal Jenkins I'll see you tommorow
I can see you frustration but its simple your offit is distracting to the boys in this school, and you see boys can't control themselves as well as young ladies like yourself
After reapeating himself Mr.Evans gets frusterated\, however Jess just agrees to listen.
I'm just going to bed early so I can forget about this and hopefully wake up in time to avoid this same situation that happend today
Jess expresses her opinion on the gender discrimination that she is facing
And Principal Jenkins just gives some streotype to supress Jess's opinionAnd Jess just dosn't want to fight because she knows she'll neve win
Jess just gives up and never ends up fighting back. This is common in many schools ; however this is just a dramatize version, but it gets the message across that gender inequality is still a common issue today.
