- In early November 1938, the main character Micheal O'Shaunessey and his parents were walking home from watching a movie on a cool night when Kristallnacht started this scene is important because it is when Micheal's parents tell him they can't save the Jewish man shown because they are secretly spying on the Germans for the allies.
- In 1943 this scene shows that Micheal is at Fritz's house hoping to find something about Projekt-1065 and when he walks into Fritz's dad's study, he is shocked to find the plans just laying out on the wall.
