- So after running some blood tests and performing an ultrasound, we've unfortunately diagnosed your son with stage 2 thyroid cancer.
- There's a narrow amount of causes that include hereditary syndromes or radiation, but it's almost unpreventable
- There are some treatment options though such as chemotherapy, a lobectomy, or a total thyroidectomy, the most common surgery
- About 12,000 men catch it a year. Luckily, we caught it at stage 2 which means it's very curable
- We'll go with the total thyroidectomy
- *4 hours later*
