- There are four methods to seperate substances Seiving,Winnowing, Threshing,Handpicking.

- Mam what is seiving?
- Seiving alows fine flour particles to pas through the sieve while bigger impurities remain on the sieve.
- Now we shall do an experiment.

- Mam what is winnowing?
- Winnowing is used to seperate heavier and lighter components of mixture by wind.
- SEPERATING SUBSTANCES
- Mam what is Threshing?
- Threshing is the process when stalks are beaten to free the seed grains.
- SEPERATING SUBSTANCES
- Yes.I thought you knew the methods of seperation.Now the period got over we will do the experiment tommorow.
- Mam, is Handpicking is the method to seperate slightly larger sized impurities from wheat,rice or pulses?
