- IntroductionMy project is about a comet the collides with earth. The earth would be its normal mass and be traveling at the same speed around the sun. Meanwhile the comet would be 50-75kg and would travel at 1000mph-1500mph.
- Making it realisticThese two objects will collide with each other because the orbit of the earth and comet will cause them to collide. This comet was part of a much larger comet that collided with Jupiter. This comet broke off just about a week before the collision with earth so scientists had not yet researched it. All the scientists knew is that it was headed towards earth, they thought it would just miss earth. Sadly, they were wrong.
- AftermathDue to the scale of these objects they would be able to both fit on screen, therefore, there would have to be adjustments made. After the collision there would be a shockwave and debris flying all over the place. Many homes, buildings, and other places would be destroyed. If the comet crashed into a large city or town than it would be more interesting that it crashing into a mountain in the middle of nowhere.
