- Lynn is very protective of her sister. For instance she is literally risking her life to save her sister. Also, she is a very nice character in that even though the dog almost killed them, she still wanted to save it from getting hurt from the glass. Lastly, she is just a very unselfish character and is willing to do almost anything for others.

- From this photo you can tell that Katie is very young. You could see as well that she will throw a fit without her stuffed animal Bera-Bera that supposedly talks to her. She can also be described as a baby since she still wets her self every once a while, and is pretty tough to deal with at times. As much as she is young and cant live without her bear just like many others she is a nice little girl and very enthusiastic.
- "I can teach you girls to spit like a master"
- Father was very meditative and pensive, as he takes large amounts of time to make decisions. He is a pretty quiet person and is described as a big thinker which is probably why this is the case. While people may think he is foolish for this, he actually does a lot of this to help his family, in which he takes on big decisions that could potentially change a lot. Lastly, he works 90 hours a week so he puts his family first and is a hard worker. For this reason he loves to think things through but he is also a very hard worker and does a lot for his family,
- The mom is strict . For instance she is literally telling her daughter to be careful while walking down the stairs. She is also pretty small and delicate as the book describes, "she broke her leg by falling down one step." However, she is trying to make sure her daughters safe and that's a mothers job.
- Just by looking at this image above it is easy to tell that Uncle Katsuhisa is an odd man. For instance he is offering to teach the fairly young girls how to spit like a master. Also everything about him is completely different than father in that he is very loud and talks a lot with enthusiasm, while father is pretty quiet. Lastly, the word Katsu in Japanese means triumph, which is a perfect way ti describe him.
