- At the site of the infection, the dendritic cells are eating the bacteria as well as collecting and displaying antigens on their surface

- Next, the dendritic cells are travel through the lymphatic vessels searching for a T-cell which matches the antigen. This process can take days or weeks.

- After days of searching the dendritic cell has found its helper T-cell! The helper T-cell calls the B-cells to help fight the infection.

- The B and T cells head back to site of infection with new anitibodies created by the B-CELL

- At the site of infection antibodies attach to pathogens which helps macrophages destroy the pathogen
- The cytotoxic T-Cells recognize which body cells are infected with the pathogen and bind with your infected body cell and cause your body cell to kill itself

- The acquired immune system can take a break for now. If Henry contracts pink eye again his body will now have antibodies and remember how to fight the infection
- Henry has undergone a fast recovery thanks to his strong immune system and is ready to play basketball again
- Memory T and B cells have been created and the body will be prepared to fight infection if needed
