- The Battle of Concord happened in Massachusetts on April 19th, 1775. The "key players" were Samuel Adams, John Handcock, Paul Revere, William Dawes. The British set out to capture rebels and destroy shops. It's know as the shot around the world.
- Saratoga
- The Battle of Bunker Hill happened outside of Boston on June 17th, 1775. The "key players" were Militia and William Prescott. The British shoot at the hill, the Americans have the high ground. This gives colonies a confident boost, and the British lose soldiers.
- Valley Forge
- The Battle of Trenton happened in New Jersey on December 26th, 1776. The "key players" were Washington and Hessian Garrison. Washington plans a surprise attack on the Hessians stationed in Trenton for the day after Christmas. Americans were able to capture 800 Hessians and lose only 1 solider. This marks the first major victory for Americans.
- Yorktown
- The Battle of Saratoga happened in New York on September 19th and October 7th, 1777. The "key players" were Burgoyne and Benedict Arnold. British tried for a three pronged attack and only one army made it. It marked a major defeat for the British.
- The battle of Valley Forge happened in Pennsylvania. The "key players" were Washington and Baron von Steuben. After failing to recapture Philadelphia they set up camp for the winter, Steuben arrived and created a training program.
- The Battle of Yorktown took place in Virginia on September 28th and October 19th, 1781. The "key players" were Washington, Cornwallis, The Comte de Rochambeau, Lafayette. The French And Americans worked to together to fight the British leaving them no option but to surrender.
