- A student is at home doing his homework, and doesn't understand it.
- This is aggravating I can't understand my homework!!! The equations are hard
- His mom hears him yell and comes to see what's wrong.
- Why are you in here screaming???
- My homework is hard, do you think you could help me?
- He explains his problem to his mom as his mom tries to comprehend.
- Yes, what's the problem?
- Ok so, if y=x-8 and y=-2x+1, what would be the solution?
- As his mom tells him the steps, he manages to solve the problem.
- First, follow your the steps of graphing. First, write equations in y-mx+b. Then, graph m and b and connect the dots. Last Identify the solution. Remember to graph b first!
- After writing out the problem and finding m and b, he graphed the problem and connecting the points, he found the solution.
- RIGHT!!!
- I GOT IT!! The solution is (3,-5)
- He then went to school and found out that his answer was correct and he followed all the steps correctly.
- I used my graphing skills.
