  • Erikson's second stage of psychological development describes a period of time where the child starts to develop a want for more personal control and independence. In this example, the toddler wishes to feed himself instead of having his father feed him.
  • Erikson's fifth stage of psychological development describes a period in life where adolescents develop their sense of worth in society and find a sense of continuity within themself. In this example, the student (right) is figuring out which occupation she might want to transition into.
  • Erikson's eighth and final stage of psychological development describes a period of time where the elderly contemplate their accomplishments and reflect on their life and where they are now. In this example, the pair are reflecting on a happy memory of theirs.
