- Merlin foretold that King Uther Pendragon would have a son, but would die two years later. Merlin told Uther that the boy would be killed as people fought for the crown. Uther pledged to hand over his son so Merlin could protect him.
- Climax
- Merlin takes the baby, Arthur, to live with Sir Ector as his son. Years later, Arthur finds out he is going to a tournament to see who the next true king is. Arthur is going to help his brother, Sir Kay.
- Falling Action
- You aren't my son really. Still love you though.
- Sir Kay forgot his sword at the inn they were staying in. Arthur pulls the sword out of the stone for the first timey. He gives the sword to his brother, Sir Kay, without even realizing what he has just done.
- Resolution
- People of Britain, we are now one!
- After Arthur pulls out the sword, he is recognised as the rightful king.
- Sir Ector explains to Arthur that Merlin had made him raise the child of Uther Pendragon in secret.
- Arthur is crowned as the rightful King of Britain.
