- Hey there, children. Today we are to tackle about earthquake hazards and how we can mitigate its impact unto ourselves.
- But first, let's have some drill first. Let me guide you as we do this. This comes handy when an earthquake suddenly strikes our area, particularly here in our school.
- What i want you to do when the ground starts to shake is to do the DUCK-COVER-HOLD. Go underneath your desk to take cover and just hold there until the shaking stops.
- But, we should at least wait for a few minutes taking cover.
- And those who are near or on the coastal areas, beware of potential tsunami. These are long wavelength oceanic waves generated by the sudden displacement of seawater by a shallow earthquake.
