- Why is the government trying to sell us our own land? They give us "srcips" to exchange for land that was already ours!
- Why can't the government and Anglophones just respect our rights and let us live the way we have been for many years!
- The new settlers treat us horribly and even killed one of our men. And for this reason a lot of us have decided to leave!

- Canada is a British domain and the government should implement that more in the west instead of giving them more power!
- Riel proved that the Metis people are willing to use violence to get what they want and yet Macdonald is still giving them more power?
- The government has given the Metis and Canadiens too much rights! Macdonald should listen to us instead of trying to make everyone happy!

- I'm very happy with what Macdonald decided to do with the Manitoba Act. and recognizing our rights to our language and religion.
- I am glad Riel stood up for the Francophone culture and that Canada is staying a bilingual and bicultural nation. We are happy that they are on our side.
