Overview of Humble ISD Technology Plan

- Hello, I am Ms. Hernandez! Today, we will be focusing on Humble ISD's Technology Plan, which occurred between 2015-2018 to provide students with an innovative way to learn through technology use in the classroom.
- It's important to remember that Humble ISD's technology mission is simply to make sure that the use of technology enhances the learning environment in order to increase student achievement, provide students with skills and knowledge to use in the future, and to support as well as guide teachers to integrate technology into their classrooms successfully.
- A few minutes later...
- The first goal is technology will be integrated into the curriculum and instruction!
- The second goal is technology investments will be aligned with district goals, forecastable and budgeted, and provide for elements critical to support technology.
- Now that we have reviewed the three goals of Humble ISD's technology plan, can three volunteers tell me what the three goals are, again?
- The third goal is that technology infrastructure will be stable, reliable, and secure. Technical support for maintaining, refreshing and using digital resources will be in place to support all users.
- All three of you are correct! These goals are reinforced by the district's "Technology Planning Committee," created in 2012-2013 and is composed of various representatives.
- Representatives can come from various departments, campuses, and programs!Each individual serves for TWO years!

- As we can see, the Humble ISD's Technology Plan is designed towards who?
- The administration, as well!

- Those are all correct answers! This technology plan also provides a brief description and an example for each stage of the technology integration plan for teachers to be aware of, which we can see on the right.
