- Act 1:As Harry Potter was sleeping, he experienced a very scary dream. In this dream, Lord Voldemort is very small and his servant Wormtail kills an innocent man. "He was dead before he hit the ground" (Rowling, 15). Nigini is also in this scene as he is the snake of Lord Voldemort. This event is important because this is a dream, but most of his dreams turn out to be a reality.
- Act 2:Harry Potter was invited to watch the Quidditch World Cup with the Weasley's (his best friends family). After the watch a man lit the sky with the dark mark, which is the sign for Lord Voldemort, "You- Know-Who's sign" (Rowling 129)! This is an important event because this shows that the dream that Harry had about Lord Voldemort might have been true. The symbol also caused Harry's scar to hurt in a way that only occurs when Voldemort is near.

- Act 3: As Harry and his best friends Hermione and Ron boarded the Hogwarts Express, they became very curious about the event that people had been talking about it happening at Hogwarts. "Bagman wanted to tell us what's happening at Hogwarts" (Rowling 165). There was also a lot of speculation after the events of the Dark Mark. All of these suspicious events could only mean one thing, a normal year at Hogwarts.
