- At last! Land ahoy.
- We are here at last.

- Hello people of Canada.
- Wow, cool land.
- In 1600s, Europeans set sail to find beaver pelts.
- It was a dangerous journey across the ocean!
- After months at sea, the sailors arrive in Canada.
- Even though they are weary from their journey, they are excited about finding land and the hope of finding fur!
- Wow there are people here!!!

- Wow, this is a cool place to set up camp. We need to get ready before winter.
- Bye people of Canada.
- They found this land and really liked so they thought "we should build here".
- Lets start building. So they start and try to finish before winter.
- The first Hudson's Bay Company Trading post was established.
- It was winter when they finished and they found the people who live there.
- We are so close.
- The people that lived their wanted to trade with them because they had a lot of new things like, guns and gun bullets and other things.
- They are saying good bye to each other because they are leaving to tell the king of France about them and the land.
- Lets go in.
- So they leave to go back to England to tell the King and Queen what they found, what they will do and to get more things to trade.
- So they are on there journey going back to England.
- They are close and weary from there travel back to England.
- They are really close now they are at shore.
- They are getting off the boat and unpacking and packing the furs into bags.
- They walk through the town and see where they are going and they are really determent to go in and show what they know.
- Lets go in and tell the king what we found
- We can do this.
- May I please have your pleasing to set up a colony at Kanata
- They say and write it like K.a.n.a.t.a. but we call and write it like C.a.n.a.d.a.
- We will help you with your journey.
