- Vonnegut uses this to ridicule the way of thinking that everyone should be equal. It is comprehensible if a someone thinks that the economic equality is something good, maybe it is; but equality about the person's clothes, the music they listen to, and their face (taking into account the beauty of the person), controlling these things is horrible and disgusting, that is what Kurt Vonnegut was making with these ridiculous scenes. He said that it is impossible to put all the society in the same step, and if it happened, would be a sad life.
