- Odysseus departs his island home after 10 long years much to the dismay of calypso
- Hello travelers, my name is Calypso and this is my island. I invite you to stay as long as you like
- Such a wondrous and beautiful Island thank you for your kindness.
- Calypso contemplates her future and concludes she will never love again.
- Come now men the time to take the Island is now

- After years of solitude, men arrive on calypso's island who were lost on their journey like Odysseus.

- Calypso greets the lost travelers at her cane and invites them to stay but dose not force them to.
- The men having spent a month on the island see how easily it could be theirs and plan to take over.
- The men take over the Island and trap Calypso and command her to do whatever they want.
