- Hermia and Lysander plan to get married but they decide to run away since Hermia's father doesn't approve. Helena who is Hermia's friend loves Demetrius but he does not love her back. The four end up in the magical woods together.
- the mechanicals are planning to put on a play for Theseus and Hippolyta who are getting married. Their actors are not very good though and bottom wants to play all the parts.
- Demetrius and Lysander get a love potion and both start loving Helena. Helena thinks that they are making fun of her and pushes them away. Titania the fairy queen is forced to love an ass because of the potion as well.
- puck fixes the love potion mess and makes Demetrius love Helena back. Bottom is fixed as well and runs to peter quince's place. the four lovers are invited to Theseus and Hippolyta's wedding.
- 3 couples get married on the same day. they watch the horrible play as a celebration. Everyone is happy because their love lives are finally figured out.
