- In wildlife, rabbits are a common animal. These rabbits breed a lot and begin to overcrowd. This leads to fewer resources available to the rabbits. With the population increasing there isn't food for the rabbits. The result of overcrowding also leads to less space. 
- Survival of the Fittest
- With the cause of a change in the genetic structure. Some rabbits resulted with a brown fur coat or a tan fur coat.
- The brown rabbits blend into the dirt and trees. This makes it harder for them to be spotted by predators that come across walking by to spot them immediately. Yet the tan rabbits are spotted out because they don't blend into the dirt or trees. This results in predators spotting them and eating them.
- Since the brown rabbits have a higher chance of surviving compared to the tan rabbits. The brown rabbits will become more frequent and common over time as reproduction continues. Due to the tan rabbits being unable to blend in, they will be targeted more often by predators. At some point, there will only be brown rabbits surviving.
