How the Dinosaurs Became Extinct.

- Once, about 65 million years ago, dinosaurs ruled the earth.
- Nobody knows exactly why the dinosaurs became extinct . . .
- We need a fresh water supply from rivers and streams to drink from!
- Some of us even eat each other!
- We need lots of trees and scrub, for both food and shade from the hot sun!
- The most popular scientific theory is that a meteorite crashed into the earth, causing volcanos to spew ash and gas, wiping out all of the dinosaurs.
- How did we die out?
- The ash and gas from the volcano suffocated the dinosaurs. There were also diseases and food chain imbalances that caused the dinosaurs' extinction.
- The meteorite changed climatic conditions so drastically that the dinosaurs could not survive.
- Since then, dinosaur bones and skeletons have been discovered all over the world!
- Now you can see dinosaur bones, skeletons and models in museums.
