- The setting starts on a ship with a man named Rainsford and two other people named Nielsen and Whitney going overboard and ending up on a island called Ship Trap Island adventuring into the jungle of the island finding a giant mansion with two men named Zaroff and Ivan and takes place in various places on the island.
- Climax
- The conflict is Zaroff hunting Rainsford as a game because he didn’t have pleasure in hunting anymore after hunting all over the world.
- Falling Action
- He and Zaroff talk about hunting over some food and Rainsford realizing he hunts humans .Rainsford realizes that Zaroff knows where he is but he made multiple traps after realizing this and slowly getting rid of some of his dogs and his assistant Ivan being killed to.
- Resolution
- Rainsford kills Ivan then Zaroff closing in on him Rainsford jumping off a cliff into water making his way back to Zaroff’s Mansion.
- Rainsford uses his trap t kill Ivan and him having to escape quickly jumping off a cliff into water and swimming back to shore and meeting Zaroff at his own mansion.
- The story ends with Rainsford saying that is was the most comfortable bed he slept in which was Zaroff’s bed indicating he won the fight.
