- Ever wonder why so many heavily resources companies like Uber with super talented engineers still suffer data breaches? Like, why can't they solve this?

- Not really, but ok, continue.

- Well, the reason they can't solve it is because it's not their job. Their job is to get a driver to you as fast as possible. That's what all their talent is focused on.They aren't thinking about this problem as deeply as their core business.

- It's a bit like how you probably handle your money. You probably keep it in a money bank rather than under your mattress. That's because if you stuff it under your mattress, you take on the responsibility for protecting it. You become a target and you likely don't have the expertise to keep it safe.So instead, you put your money in a bank, which puts it in a vault. Because the bank has the security infrastructure to keep it safe. Then you use a proxy to your money in the form of a credit card rather than carrying around stacks of cash.

- We are like that, but for customer data. A vault for customer data, designed to keep it super safe but give you the tools you need to use the customer data without touching it.
