- After 348 grueling days of trials, on the 216th session 22 of the 24 nazis were punished, one committed suicide and the other was physically, and mentally unfit for trial. 3 defendants were acquitted, four were sentenced anywhere from 10 to 20 years in prison,
- 3 were sentenced to life in prison, 12 were sentenced to death by hanging, 10 of them were hung on October 16th, 1946, one committed suicide before the hanging, and one was tried and condemned to death in absentia.
- Even though the nazi leaders were punished to the extent of the law, it doesn't make up for all of the lives lost in the holocaust along with all the other deaths in WW2. In all 35 million to 60 million people died, this tragedy will never be solved by a lousy 22 leaders killed, and jewish people never really will get their justice.
