- Townshend Acts
- I know! Since we protected the colonists, the owe us money. Lets tax their tea!
- We are in such huge debt after that war! What should we do??
- Boston Massacre
- In the French and Indian War, Most of the Native Americans Sided with the French. Only the Iroquois Tribe sided with the British.
- Boston Tea Party
- After winning the French and Indian war, Britain was in a huge amount of debt. Instead of paying it off slowly with their own money, they decided to tax their colonists to repay their dept.
- Intolerable/Coercive Acts
- The Boston Harbor is now Closed until further notice.
- The Boston Massacre was started by the colonists, when they were protesting un-peacefully. 5 Colonists were killed.
- The First Continental Congress
- Good idea!
- During the Boston Tea Party, The Sons of Liberty dressed up as Native Americans, and threw British Imported Tea into the Boston Harbor. The Sons of Liberty did this in response to the Tea Act.
- After the Boston Tea Party, King George Created the Intolerable Acts, Including but not limited to, The Quartering Act, The Boston Port Act. The most important was the Boston Port Act, as it required colonists to repay the damages done to the tea, and closed off boston harbor.
- What?!!
- During the first continental congress, the thirteen colonies (except for georgia) came together and decided to boycott and protest the british goods until they repealed the intolerable acts.
- Let's Boycott British goods until they undo the intolerable acts!
