- Okay everyone, I'm going to be passing out the Stanford - Binet IQ test for you all to complete today. This test will tell you your IQ
- What's IQ?
- Well, IQ stands for intelligence quotient and this test serves as a measurement of your intelligence. Your results are plotted on a normal distribution as you can see here.
- Oh okay, I think I've heard of this standardized test before.
- How did you score on that IQ test today? I scored 120 which means I'm in the 91st percentile
- Really! I only scored 90...
- Well don't worry too much about that, I can tell you have a high emotional intelligence which is also very important.
- What's emotional intelligence?
- Emotional intelligence is basically when a person can accurately understand the emotions of others and themselves, and can use emotions appropriately
- And you think I have that?
- Sure! I might be smart on paper but I have a hard time understanding other people, so my EI is pretty low. You can always tell when people are excited or sad or frustrated. Plus you're really good at expressing your emotions and handling stress.
- Yeah that's true I am good at that stuff. I guess having a high emotional intelligence is important too!
