- King Nebuchadnezzar beseiged Judah and took Daniel and others to Babylon and taught them the Babylonian ways. - Daniel remained faithful to God and didn't eat the food/drink sacrificed to idols.- God gave Daniel wisdom and understanding.
Nebuchadnezzar's Dream
- When the King is ubable to interpret the dream, he first turns to magicians, enchanters, sorcerers and strologers. - As the wise men were unable to interpret the dream, God reveals the King's dream and meaning to Daniel. - Daniel explains that the most High God is responsible for interpreting the dream, and that the Wisemen would not have been able to interpret it. - God gave Daniel wisdom and knowledge.
Daniel and the Fiery Furnace
- The king made a law that everyone had to worship an image of him when music played.- Daniel and his friends refused and were thrown in the fiery furnace but God sent and angel to protect them. - God is in control and can do anything.
Nebuchadnezzar's Second Dream
- Nebuchadnezzar dreamt of a tree that was cut down which represented him.- We would also live like a mad man until we acknoledged that God rules.- We see God is powerful and the revealer of wisdom.
The writing on the wall
King Belshazzar used the temple goblets for a party.- A hand appeared and wrote a message on the wall.- Only Daniel could interpret that the king would have his kingdom divided and that he would die. - We see that God is in control and reveals His wisdom.
