- Welcome to Mesopotamia it is is located in the modern day country iraq, and their are two main rivers that made the civilization successful Euphrates amd the Tigris River.
- People noved to the Zagros foot hills to grow more food resulting in not enough space to grow food, and they started to suffer from food shortages. so they left to go to a place caled Sumer.
- But with the rivers there was one problem, they would flood every spring when the montains snow would melt. So the farmers had to devolop something called irrigation.
- There is a famer over there cleaning silt out of a irrigation canal he has to maintian it to keep it from clogging, but he cant do this all by himself. All of the famers from diffrent places all have to work together forming citys.
- But since their was irrigation; up stream, down stream thier wasn't enough water because how many farms they needed. people started to dispute and kill for water.
- But agriculture, irrigation, domestication, and wheels helped sumer rise and become large human advancment for many years forward, today we still use irrigationand wheels!
