  • What are the questions you have about the course?
  • So you guys want to learn about the course Exercise Leadership: Resistance Training offered here at Slippery Rock University!
  • Well, we will go over workout safety, how the machines in the gym work, and how to form your own workout program.
  • What are the basic concepts of this class?
  • We will meet here at the gym every Tuesday and Thursday.
  • What times will we be meeting during the week for class?
  • O'Shea is approached by Sean and Damon with curiosity about the course of Exercise Leadership: Resistance Training taught by Professor Holmstrup. The scene takes place during the day in a gym.
  • Once you complete this course with a letter grade of C or better, you will earn 3 credits.
  • So how many credits is the course worth once it is completed?
  • Sean asks O'Shea what the basic concepts of the class are. O'Shea answers his question and explains briefly each concept of the class.
  • In order to enter this course, you must obtain a minimal letter grade of a C in Exercise Physiology with Lab as well as Biomechanics with Lab.
  • What prerequisites do you need in order to get into your class?
  • Damon asks O'Shea when and where the class is held. O'Shea gives him the location and days of the the week that they will meet for the class. O'Shea also tells them the times that different times that are offered for the course depending on which term they take the class.

  • Is this course required for any other courses?
  • Sean asks what is needed in order to pass the class and how many credits will be earned upon completion of the course. O'Shea responds telling him the grade he needs in order to pass the class and the credit hours that a student will earn once they pass and complete the course.
  • Damon asks what is needed in order to be able to take the course. O'Shea informs them of the classes they need to have passed in order to take the class. He also tells them that Freshman I, Freshman II, and Sophomore I students are not able to take the class even if they have passed the required classes for the course.
  • Sean then asks what class will proceed this course. O'Shea informs them of the class that come after passing the course. The courses are Advanced Application of Resistance Training, Wellness Coaching and Program Management, Fitness Assessment, Exercise Prescription, Advanced Exercise Physiology, Nutrition and Exercise, Seminar in Strength and Conditioning, and Exercise Programming for Cancer.
