- The Host asks the Parson to tell his fable. But the Parson tells him that story telling is sinful. So instead, the Parson opts to tell a sermon.
- Adultery, your age, your past, and many others
- In his sermon, the Parson describes the steps one must take to get to Heaven. These steps are contrition, confession, and satisfacton.
- Confess your sins to me
- With contrition, he begins to describe the 2 different types of sins venial and deadly and then escribes the 7 deadly sins and their remedies.
- After all these steps, you may finally reach peace in life and go to heaven.
- Then, he describes different circumstances that can make each sin more deadly.
- Next is confession, in which you reveal your sins to a priest. Through this, you can reconcile your relationship with both God and the church.
- Then through all of this, you can finally reach satisfaction with your life and finally, be on your way to heaven.
