- WANT A HAIRCUT!
- IN chapter 1, After a long night of watching movies, ponyboy is walking home alone when he sees some socs approaching him ready to fight. As they start to beat him brutally the greasers come in and save him.
- IN chapter 2, After meeting Cherry valance at a drive-in Ponyboy tells the story of how Johnny was brutally beaten almost to death by the socs bob.
- IN chapter 3, After coming home late, Darry Ponyboys older brother is furious he starts yelling at sdoapop ponys other older brother. POnyboy has had enough and decides to yell at Darry ending in Darry slapping Pony.
- In chapter 4,When Ponyboy and Johnny are in the parking lot planning to run away Bob and the socs come and start drowning ponyboy. In fear of dying and of ponyboy drowning, Johnny takes out his blade and stabs Bob the socs.
- In chapter 10, After the church fire and the rumble, Ponyboy goes to see Johnny who will take his final breath in the hospital with Dally and Ponyboy beside him.
- In chapter 10, After Johnny's death, Dally decides that he doesn't want to live anymore so he commits suicide by cops.
