Storyboard Text
- Approach:"It is your fate to live and then to die- just as it was mine to live forever." Page. (69)
- Crisis & Rebirth:"Chocking and sputtering, he instantly began to kick his legs and drag the water..." Page. (85)
- Treasure:"Glancing towards the rock, he saw the green plant." Page. (87)
- Utnapishtim is telling Gilgamesh about his fate. How they both have different fates. Gilgamesh won't accept his fate though. He thinks his is to live forever. Not to die.
- Result:"And all it's magic- every twinkle and shimmer- was gone too, down into the snakes belly." Page. (87)
- Gilgamesh tries to get the plant. He has rocks tied to his feet. He almost drowns. His hand is bleeding. He is also in terrible pain.
- Return & New Life:"...worst news I've heard... Gilgamesh returned her a smile." Page. (91)
- Gilgamesh ended up getting the plant safely. He put it on the rock. He is now admiring it.
- "But today he was crying tears of joy." Page (93)
- The snake ate the plant. The snake ate all of the plants powers. It became young. Gilgamesh was upset. He went home with nothing.
- Gilgamesh used to be a mean ruler towards the beginning. But now, he has changed to be a better ruler! The people of Uruk are surprised that he is nice. Gilgamesh showed his kindness by returning a pleasant smile.
- Gilgamesh also listened to Siduri and ended up having a family. Even though he wasn't immortal, he still found a way to be happy.
