- Dear Larry, I have left behind this note for you because you are one of the smartest people in our family. Inside a secret room in your house is a briefcase. In the briefcase is 8 locks. Each lock is the answer to a Math problem. If you solve each problem correctly, you'll unlock the box and win a trillion dollars. Good luck!
- Hmmm, for the first lock, it tells me to name these three polynomials... 9x5- 6yz4+68a3-1,098,299,987x2 10x4+ 9x3y2-9abc 100x3 + 314y2
- Lastly, for the third expression there are two terms, meaning it's a binomial. The highest degree is 3 so, it's a cubic binomial.
- For the second expression, are three terms. Yes, the second terms with two exponential variables is one term. So, since there are three terms, it's a trinomial. Since, the highest degree is 4, this is a Quartic Trinomial.
- So,for the first one, it has 4 terms. And from my knowledge accumulated through studies, I know that means that the expression is a polynomial of 4 terms. Also, since the highest degree is 5 in the expression, the expression is a Quintic Polynomial of 4 terms.
- WEEEEHEW! At this rate you can call me Bill Gates, because I'll be rich in no time. I want to go down to the kitchen for my next lock.
