- Hi, my name is Noah Nitrogen and I am a Nonmetal. I have 5 valance electrons
- Hi I'm Cyrus Chlorine
- since we are friends now , let's make a special Ionic bond
- covalent bond is when a chemical bond is formed allowing two atoms to transfer
- Here, let me help you know the differences. We are both non metal so it would be a covalent bond
- non metal bond ? covalent bond? So isn't an ionic bond when two opposite ions attract ?
- so covalent and ionic bonds have different traits
- Ionic bonds the metal loses electrons to become a positive cation.
- Covalent bonds are made up of electrons , which makes them an anion of negative charges
- think of it as sharing a sandwich with someone because you are full.
- ionic and covalent bonds are different , but they typically have the same ide ending
- In order to be full , i would need 8 sandwiches. I cannot get full off anything less
- if someone else is full , they can give me their sandwich and I would love to eat it until I'm full
- so basically , ionic and covalent bonds both need an octet bond, to complete it shell

- yes , just make sure whoever you make the covalent bond with is NONMETAL
