Storyboard Text
- Gordie, Teddy, Chris and Vern were in a treehouse and were talking and playing games when Gordie heard there was a dead boy somewhere in the forest and he suggested they go see it. Then they discussed who it could be and Gordie heard a boy there age Ray Brower had been missing for three days after going to pick wild fruit.
- Vern was out the front of his house when his older brother Billy walked past with his mate Charlie. Vern overheard them talking about a body they had just found in the forest, they didn't go to the police because they had used a stolen car to go to the forest.
- The boys decide to go to the forest and try to find the body. Chris's dad was drunk so Chris stole his gun for protection and went into an alleyway to show Gordie.
- The Boys began to go through the forests to look for the body with lots of things happening on the way such as going for a swim in a pool of leches getting chased by a dog in the dump and waking up to screaming.
- The boys end up finding the dead body of Ray Brower in a terrible thunderstorm. The boys don't know what to do if to leave it or take him to the police when suddenly Vern's brother and his mates arrive in a car they stolen. They threaten the boys to not tell the police they wanted to do. But the boys said they got their first and said they are telling the police so the older boys went to fight them when chris pulled out a gun and shot it in the air. The older boys then left and said they will get them.
- Towards the end of the book one of the older boys Ace anonymously calls the police and tells them where the body is. Then at the end the narrator who is Gordon says how his friends eventually die and we never find out how ray dies and how his shoe came off.
