Joe is out in the forest chopping down a tree when suddenly an Indian jumps out from behind a tree and shoots him in the arm and then takes him captive.

The Indians brought joe north and once it became dark the Indians stopped and started to set up camp.

The Indians dug a body shaped hole and put Joe inside and filled in the hole leaving his head out. Then they all went to sleep.

The Indians are going to attack settlements between Brunswick and Saco!
Joe wakes up feeling much better. They then made their way back to the village where he saw a band of Indian warriors. He followed the warriors for two days when they stopped at the Androscoggin River.
Joe and the Indians arrive at the river and Joe watches as the Indians take off in canoes making their way to attack settlements between Brunswick and Saco. He then travels all night towards Falmouth.
Joe returns to Windham and warns everyone about the Indians attack. The word of the Indians attack spreads and the Indians quickly reatrat when they find out that their plan had been discovered. Joe then returns home to his parents where he helps his father and his lumber business. A few years later he drowns in a river.`
