- Tilly and Oskar are in the bookshop together when Anne apears to talk to Tilly. The only problem is Oskar can't see her!
- What are you-
- He can't see me because I'm yours. The only way he could see me would be if you both...Oh but I shouldn't. Acutally I don't see why not, considering the circumsances.
- Who is Tilly talking to?
- Burned marshmallow smell filled the air as the walls of the shop seemed to topple down around them.
- POOF!
- Leaving them standing in a startlingly beautiful wood with late-afternoon sun dripping through the leaves above them.
- First time? It can make your stomach feel a little bit funny. But it's lovely to meet you properly. I'm Anne. With an 'e'"
- Where are we?
- We're in Avonlea, of course! Come one, we're going to be late for school
- On their way around Avonlea, they spotted the suspicious Mr.Chalk, the one who visited Grandad the other day. Was he following Tilly?
- What is HE doing here?
- Chalk neared where the three of them were now standing and doffed his hat at them a thin smile on his face that didn't even nearly reach his eyes.
- My name is Mr.Chalk. I used to work with your grandfather a long while ago. And don't be so self-centered, child.I'm merely out for a wander. Checking the borders, as it were. Just a happy coincidence to run into you, and with a friend as well.
- Who are you? Are you following me?
- Matilda. Out and about again, I see?
- After Anne took them back home they decided to confront Grandad about everything that had happened
- Grandad we need to ask you about something. We just got back from a book
- Well, I suppose I knew this day was going to come eventually. I think it's time for you to meet the librarian
