- So what is it that you don't understand about the rational Expression?
- Im sorry, it just that it is kinda confusing how it works.
- Im just confused on how Rational expressions is either is a ratio of two polynomials or just one polynomails.
- Oh i see. So about that Rational expressions or another way to called it Rational functions is a rational expression of two ratio polunomials.
- For example let have f be a rational expression. If f can be written as a form of x/y which both of them are polynomials. Just like how they are polunomials any other type of expressions, like basic arithmetic operations. It can be performed on rational expressions.
- Lets use numbers for example. So a polynomial x^2 - 16 / x^3 + 64 first thing we can do is factoring numerators and denominators.Which we would get (x+4)(x-4) / (x+4)(x^2-4x+16)And if we would ro reduce common factors we would get (x-4) / (x^2-4x+16)
- So your saying that rational equations can be used to solve variety of problems that involve like addition, subtracts, etc?
