The Spanish Armada

- Once upon a time, in 1588 one of the most famous battles in English history, took place. This battle was called The Spanish Armada.
- Many Protestant, were unhappy with the Spanish Catholic rule from Queen Mary of Scots a Catholic heir. So, Elizabeth executed her as she was a threat. King Philip II did not like what she had done.
- You killed my wife and destroyed my plans to strengthen Catholicism
- I did what I had to in order for England to stay Protestant
