- Hamlet appears and he's dressed in black.He's mourning his Dad's death, and gertrude says..
- Denmark and Norway have been at war. The king of Norway was killed by king hamlet and now the Prince of Norway wants revenge. Guards keep watch over the castle in fear Norway might invade
- The guards keep seeing a ghost that resembles the mysteriously dead, late King Hamlet, the guards ask Prince Hamlets Friend, Horatio, to check it out.
- !!
- The Ghost however doesn'ttalk and starts chasing Horatio and the guards, Horatio Says that it is definitelyKing Hamlet
- Lets tell Hamlet and See if this ghost talks to him. However we do not know the Ghosts intentions, is it good or bad?
- Claudius (King Hamlets Brother) and Gertrude (King Hamlets wife and Prince Hamlets mother) get married 8 weeks after King Hamlets death, Hamlet was supposed to be king but he was deemed unfit by the people because of his mourning over his fathers death. so Claudiusswoops in and marries Gertrude.
- Claudius is like, 'I know we're sad aboutKing Hamlet's sudden death, but don'tworry! This is happy news. We're gettingmarried and the kingdom is not lost.He sends two guards to tell the new Kingof Norway (Prince Fortinbras' uncle) thatPrince Fortinbras is seeking revenge onDenmark and to back off...or else!'

- Hamlet be happy! Why are you still sad? Things die! It happens
- Claudius and Gertrude plead with Hamletto not go back to school. They then leavewith the royal court for the weddingfestivities.
- Come on, Hamlet. Move on. It'sbeen 2 months, already. Look at your mom.She's already married and parents die allthe time. I'm your father now. Deal with it.One day you'll be king just like me
- Hamlet speaks to himself and is severelydistraught. He even says that if it weren'ta sin (religion played an important role andwe know now that this isn't the case), hewould kill himself. He is shocked that hisMom is acting so chill because he genuinelythought his parents were in love.
- Horatio and the guards find Hamlet.Hamlet questions Horatio's loyalty andHoratio confirms that he's on Hamlet'sside.
- Horatio explains that they saw Hamlet'sdad as a ghost.
- Hamlet's like, "WHAT!? Let's go in thesecret room so no one overhears."Horatio tells Hamlet everything. Hamlet'slike, "Don't tell a soul. I'll come tonight inhopes the ghost will be there. Maybe he'lltalk to me."
