- All known living things are made up of cells. The cell is structural & functional unitof all living things.
- We all contributed to CELL THEORY!!!
- I'm Matthias Schleiden, who made extensive microscopic observations of plant tissues.
- I'm Robert Hooke the one who first used the term “cells” in 1665 to describe thesmall chambers within cork.
- And I'm Theodor Schwann who made similar microscopic observations of animal tissue.
- My name is Rudolf Virchow, and I fond out that cells are made of cells. Because of my discovery, it became easier to discover diseases.
- I'm Robert Remak, a prominent neurologist and embryologist, published convincing evidence that cells are derived from other cells as a result of celldivision.
- And I'm Theodor Schwann who made similar microscopic observations of animal tissue.
- Cells contains hereditary information which is passed from cell to cell during celldivision. Ow really?!
- 3. All cells are basically the same in chemical composition.
- And lastly, All energy flow (metabolism & biochemistry) of life occurs within cells.
