- Mr. Oliver was an Anglio-Indian Teacher.
- Oliver was a bachelor and was not a nervous or imaginative man.
- What are you doing here boy? Well, what's the matter? What are you crying for?
- The boy had no eyes, face, ears, nose or mouth. it was just a round smooth head- with a school cap on top of it.......
- Oliver scrambled down the path,runiing blindly through the trees and was calling for help. He was still running towards the school.
- Do you mean it was like this, Sahib? and the watchman raised the lamp to his own face where the watch man had no no eyes no ears no features....
- I saw something -- something horrible--a boy weeping in the forest-- and he had no face.
